Introduction to Dawlish Warren:

Introduction to Dawlish Warren:
My hypothesis for this investigation: “Is Dawlish Warren managed effectively.
To prove the rightness or otherwise to this investigation we visited the beach to collect data and evidence.
We wanted to investigate the cleanliness of the beach/sea defences by collecting evidence, the evidence we collected consisted of maps, photos, information and sketches. My main factors were:
-           Are the sea defences maintained
-          Are they appealing to the eye
-          Does the beach consist of a lot of litter
As you can see I picked out the main investigations which will be most useful to gain information on my hypothesis. I analysed them with care to gain full information available.

As you may know, Dawlish warren is a beach which is based on the coast of Dawlish; this is a map of Dawlish warren and its surroundings:

We travelled halfway up the coast stopping on 4 locations to gain evidence of the amount of litter which is there.

What is a honeypot: the honeypot is the part of the beach which is where most people visit due to the attractions and facilities

What is the spit: the spit is further up the coast which doesn’t have facilities and attractions, you won’t find as much litter here.
